Richard Kleiman, LICSW, AFC Clinician & Practice Manager

Richard is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts and provides individual, couples, and family therapy at Access for Change.

Background & Experience

Richard uses a variety of solution-focused, motivational, and supportive approaches to help clients achieve their goals. His specialties include mindfulness-based psychotherapy treatment for clients experiencing Functional Neurological Disorders (including Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures), work with elderly clients and their families adjusting to late life changes and new medical diagnoses, and assisting young adults with the transition from adolescence to adulthood.  He also works regularly with clients experiencing depression and anxiety.  He maintains an affiliation and referral relationship with the Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH) Center for Brain/Mind Medicine and its Behavioral Neurology Department. He served on Harvard Medical School’s Interprofessional Hotspotting Team and is a regular participant in Harvard Medical School’s Bioethics Consortium. He is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in Massachusetts and holds master’s degrees from Simmons University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Massachusetts.
