Anne Ward, LICSW

Anne is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. She brings a range of professional experiences to her clinical social work role, including inpatient and outpatient assessment and therapeutic interventions in a major Boston hospital, a residential substance use disorder treatment program and a community mental health clinic.  

Background & Experience

Anne provides therapy to  individuals, families and groups with a particular focus on older adults, people with chronic illness and family caregivers.  Anne applies a supportive approach to help clients cope with social, emotional, relational and psychological challenges using elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and  acceptance and commitment therapy

Prior to pursuing a social work career, Anne co-founded and operated a non-profit community coalition dedicated to promoting mental health and substance use prevention awareness, education and resources.  She earned her Master of Social Work degree at Simmons University and her Bachelor of Arts degree at Brown University.
